Thutmose III, also known as Tuthmosis III, reigned over Egypt during the New Kingdom period, around the 15th century BCE. He’s renowned for his military campaigns, which expanded Egypt’s empire significantly. His reign marked a peak in Egyptian power and influence. Thutmose III is often referred to as the “Napoleon of Egypt” due to his military prowess.

Day 1: 

At the airport in Cairo, you will be greeted and taken to the hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is yours to relax.
Cairo by night.

Day 2:

Following breakfast, take an early flight to Aswan to start your vacation in Egypt. From there, continue to Abu Simbel to see the stunning temples of Ramses II and Nefertari.

Transfer to the hotel of your choice. You have the rest of the day to yourself.
Spend the night in the Aswan hotel.

Day 3:

Go to the cruise ship.
When you arrive in Aswan, the reception crew will greet you as you board your five-star deluxe Nile cruise ship, which is berthed in a private pier.
We’ll have lunch on board.

If the weather permits, you will have the opportunity to see Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum on a felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat. Life jackets will be supplied.

In the lounge, savour afternoon tea. Your boat manager will greet you tonight as you savour a variety of canapés along with free Egyptian wine and locally brewed beer. On board, there will be a fine dining experience.

After dinner, take in a dervish show and a folkloric show.

Day 4:

Following a short motorboat excursion to see the imposing and lovely Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika, there will be a breakfast buffet served on board. After that, there will be a tour to the Granite Quarries, which still contain a massive unfinished obelisk and provided the majority of the hard stone used in Egyptian temples and pyramids.

Later on board, there will be a culinary class featuring Egyptian cuisine. Savour your lunch as you cruise to Kom Ombo and explore the stunning temple there, which honours the crocodile god Sobek.

You will be served afternoon tea while you cruise to Edfu.

All attendees are invited to a costume party called “Egyptian Night” tonight, where they can dress in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya.” After a sumptuous buffet of Egyptian favourites for dinner, everyone will be treated to oriental music and dancing.

Day 5:

There will be a breakfast buffet available on board. Explore the amazing Temple of Horus this morning.

Enjoy your lunch as you continue to cruise to Esna after you get back to the boat.
Your Egyptologist will take you on a tour of the Greco-Roman Temple of Khnum at Esna this afternoon. Constructed during the reign of Roman Emperor Claudius, the exquisitely preserved Great Hypostyle Hall is situated around nine metres below the current street level. It was excavated from silt that had collected over centuries of yearly Nile floods
You’ll be served afternoon tea while you sail to Luxor.
We’re having a fantastic meal on board tonight.

Day 6:

On board, breakfast is served.
Your Egyptologist will show you around the exquisitely designed Temple of Luxor, which honours the god Amun, this morning before continuing on to the Temple of Karnak.

See the Valley of the Kings after lunch. You will have the opportunity to see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut as well as at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens. You will pass by the renowned Colossi of Memnon, which was well-known in ancient Greece for its eerie dawn vocals, on your journey back to the Nile River.

Afternoon tea will be provided in the lounge when you return to your opulent Nile Cruise boat.

We’re having a spectacular goodbye dinner tonight, complete with white-gloved servers offering fine dining.

Day 7:

Early departure.
Proceed to the airport in Luxor to catch your early morning flight to Cairo.

See the Sphinx and the Giza Pyramids. A brief camel ride is included in your tour of Giza. The world’s oldest stone monument, the stepped pyramid of Dzoser at Saqqara, awaits your next stop. Memphis, the former capital, will be the last stop on your journey.

Day 8: 

See the Mohamed Ali Mosque, the Citadel, the Egyptian Museum, and Egypt’s oldest bazaar, Khan El Khalili bazaar.
Cairo by night.

Day 9:

After breakfast at your hotel, you are free to explore on your own for the remainder of the day.
After that, you’ll be driven to the airport in Cairo in preparation for your return trip.
