WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Since they lack a motor and are wind-powered, their ability to move is reliant on the wind.

This is why the itinerary is not strictly stated. Nevertheless, we stop frequently during our voyage to see interesting sites, swim spots, and to complete our ablutions.

During the day, the felucca sails, and just before dusk, we lower the anchor and moor for the night along the river.

The deck is furnished with plush, colourful couches and rugs, and a canopy provides shade and weather protection. The vessel can easily accommodate five to ten people.

There is lodging on the deck itself. Nothing compares to the sensation of sleeping beneath a canopy of stars, but you will need to pack a towel and a sleeping bag or sheet.

In addition to being seasoned sailors, the crew prepares the included melas; nonetheless, they gladly accept assistance. There is a lot of food, despite its simplicity.

Day 1:

When you arrive in Aswan, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel. Beginning with the High Dam and its enormous lake, your afternoon tour continues with a quick ferry ride to the Romantic and Majestic Philae Temple. Spend the night in your hotel.

Day 2:

On a group tour that departs early in the morning, you will see the intriguing Abu Simble temples. After you get back, you’ll board your traditional felucca boat and head to Kitchener Island and Elephantine Island before sailing in the direction of Kom Ombo. A leisurely day spent on the felucca. On the felucca for the night.

Day 3:
After enjoying your breakfast on the Nile. Free time on Felucca. Overnight on the felucca.
Day 4:

Travel locally to the Greco-Roman Temple of Kom Ombo, which honours the gods Harveris, the sun god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Visit the Edfu Temple after leaving the Kom Ombo Temple, then proceed to Luxor, where you will check into a hotel. You will next visit the Luxor Temple in the afternoon. Spend the night in the hotel.

Day 5:

The Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon are all within sight as you cross over to the West Bank of Luxor early in the morning. You are leaving behind the sun, sand, and craggy mountainside. Next, proceed to the Karnak temple.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Beer, soft drinks, and water are all reasonably priced on board, and a tab is kept for each purchase. Everyone pays their alcohol tab on the last day!

Although there aren’t any restrooms on board, the captain frequently makes pauses along the way for swimming, ablutions, and sightseeing (in the safer parts of the Nile, where the water moves quickly and reduces the risk of bilharzia).

Enjoying the vibrant sights of the Nile village life while travelling and making a variety of scheduled or spontaneous stops, the tranquil schedule of living aboard helps us to escape the stress of daily life! We dock at the beach, then retire to the stars for the night.

We run a straightforward yet efficient and hygienic trash disposal system on board our felucca cruises in order to preserve the natural state and beauty of the Nile basin and to help reduce environmental damage. We ask that you please make sure that any sanitary products and toilet paper are placed in the bags we provide. After that, we’ll get rid of the bags.

Burying all other organic garbage is a good idea.

Cigarette ends should be disposed of properly, and drink cans should be compressed.

In other words, not in the Nile! Assist us in aiding the Nile.
